Let's hope it still is for sale in 4 months so I might go and have a look.

Hmmm itīs being sold by a Towing Company (Abschleppdienst) which doesnīt seem to be a good indication. Furthermore the seller doesnīt say anything (at all) about the current state of the car. This is quite unusual at mobile.de. So it all seems a bit vague at best ...

I doubt itīs road legal ( has TUV) or is even in a running state.

From all the ads I see on mobile.de this on seems to be one of the better ones. Especially foreign sellers often have descriptions that look like a caricature of actual German. And yeah, the condition isn't stated, but they list all the options very cleanly and wrote that the car had two owners and is a non-smoker car. I also was curious about the Abschleppdienst thing, my theory is that they either want to breach out into the used car business or that one of the employees sells his car via the company.

(btw, I'm not actually considering it, it just seemed way too nice for that price range).

I mean that it is strangely listed. The options should be listed under Ausstattung and not under Fahrzeugbeschreibung. In Fahrzeugbeschreibung you usually see a short description about the car (conditon, TUV, history etc), just a few sentences. But maybe itīs because I only look at Private sellers, not companies. Itīs not that I donīt like car companies, but I much prefer private sellers..

But yeah, if it really is one of the employees trying sells his car via the company then itīs indeed quite cheap.

Plenty practical, if you follow these simple steps;

Get whatever miles you can out of the engine, assuming it will blow (because it will, because it's an old german luxury car)

Once it blows, install an LS and a manual, then keep driving for the next 300k or so

Ignore all the dumb gizmos when they die, you're not gonna use them much anyway (built in car phone lol)
